Gail has only been at the Myocum School of Sculpture for three weeks and she has finished her first piece. No mucking around with Gail.

Double Class this week by Samantha Welch
We did a double class this week as we will be finishing this term on June 21st. Lots was achieved and following is a selection of pictures from the day.
Please note the different stages that all the students are at.
Sculpture is such personal thing and Damien Lucas imposes no rush at all on students.
Finishing Touches by Samantha Welch
This week saw students applying their finishing touches to their sculptures as well as cracking open some of the plasters.
Here are a few shots of this weeks’s classes.

Few of the students now have a plaster sculpture which they will file the edges before they colour them.
The Sculptures are Taking Shape by Samantha Welch
This week most of the students have finished their armatures and are getting into the addition of clay to form their sculpture. Once the armature is finished it forms a sound base and structure for the clay to be moulded/ sculpted upon.
For the next few weeks we will be working on the addition of and sculpting of the clay.
