Plaster everywhere by Samantha Welch

Well I tried to set a neat example this week but didn’t make it. In the process of plastering my mould I got plaster everywhere:

I got more plaster on me

Sam plastering her mould ... and herself

Meanwhile at our Wednesday class Cath was making a very neat job of it. Cath moved to the northern rivers a few years ago.
Cath also worked under Tom Bass and teachers sculpture and will be starting to teach at “Myocum School of Sculpture” next term and next year.

New student Gail – by Samantha Welch

Gail has only been at the Myocum School of Sculpture for three weeks and she has finished her first piece. No mucking around with Gail.
Here and following are photos dedicated to Gail first sculpture

The process continues – by Samantha Welch

The first few photos are of Rhian making her plaster casting of her clay sculpture. These shots are taken of Rhian mixing the correct thickness of plaster to apply over her sculpture which continues until a certain thickness before drying.
