First ‘Life Study for Sculpture’ class
Our 6 week “Life Study” commenced today with a group of four enthusiastic students.
Damien taught us for the first 3 hours of the day to sculpturally draw the model.
We all had chachole and paper and Tori (our model) moved into many different poses over the 3 hours.
After lunch we focused on one pose which we have selected to start working in clay.
Damien then taught us to draw with the clay making simple shapes and breaking down the body parts.
You can see in the photos these small cylinder shapes which can be moved to find the rthyum and gesture of the pose we have chosen.
We are all excited about next weeks class.
